Heroes and Villains - The Beach Boys. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей. Good Vibrations Best of The Beach Boys is the fourth official compilation album by The Beach Boys, and the first on their Brother Records imprint. In June 1974, The Beach Boys' old label, Capitol Records, released a double-album compilation of the band's 19621965 hits titled Endless Summer, to capitalize on their popularity as a regular touring act. After the unofficial release became an unexpected commercial success, a follow-up, Spirit of America, was rushed out by Capitol in the spring of 1975. Produced by The Beach Boys. Album Smiley Smile. Heroes and Villains Lyrics. Heroes and villains Just see what you've done Heroes and villains Just see what you've done. Stand or fall I know there Shall be peace in the valley And it's all an affair Of my life with the heroes and villains. The Beach Boys' Al Jardine thought Wilson deliberately sabotaged the record when it was clear it wouldnt meet his high expectations: We recorded a pale facsimile of Heroes and Villains, replete with discordant transitions. Brian reinvented the song for this record. Heroes And Villains: The True Story Of The Beach Boys - http. The Beach Boys - Heroes and Villains - Продолжительность: 3:39 Darryl Hushaw. My copy is #5357, so that blows the “limited edition” out of the water.

Taun
HA! #0029 Toronto, Canada. P.S. Isn't it "next time I'll leave my hat "ON" not "OFF".

Scoreboard Bleeding
Sounds fantastic in my jukebox ... however I can not keep it in there, because it does not reject at the end of the song. Capitol made the label so huge that the lead out groove does not go far enough in to engage the record to reject. It's a nice addition to my 78 collection ... wish it could play in one of my jukes.

Rainshaper
Mind blowing. This is simply the best sounding pressings of these songs I have ever heard. You can actually hear the tape cuts where BW splices the tapes together. It's unbelievable. The outtakes (while available elsewhere) help justify changing the belt to play at 78 rpm.

Blackstalker
Which versions are on the A & B sides? Smile or Smiley Smile?

What a massive crock of shit. this has nothing to do with music and everything to do with "Rock's Rich Tapestry (TM)". Can anyone tell me where i can get the loudest possible version of 'Good Vibrations' to play at my disco? one that runs at a speed that can actually be PLAYED, please.

generation of new
Buy yourself a Recordplayer from the 60s or early 70s and then you can play it!

This collector 'Record store day' item is a perfect opportunity to seize the 'pocket symphony' concept for which the Beach Boys (and Van Dyke Parks) were renowned around '66/'67. Already present in various Beach Boys rarities and outtakes compilations and here finally receiving a long deserved full side treatment, the 'Alternate Take' of "Heroes And Vilains" is a truly exceptional experimental pop music masterpiece made of short segments perfectly matching together despite their differences in rhythm, mood and tone. Basically in just under 3 minutes you get a fireworks of ideas and harmonies that 99% of the pop bands of the last fifty years wouldn't put together in an entire career. Like an overview of all the key attractions from the best circus in the world summarized in charming 20 seconds sections. Stunning.(Edit : but be careful, this item for some reason is on 78RPM so one might need appropriate equipment to play it. I mean 78RPM was already over even at the time of the making of this song, so i guess this might be some record company executive's LSD comeback, which in a way is sympathetic).

Gogul
Some turntables will play at 78rpm if you press both 45 and 33 at the same time

Swiang
Higher Speed = Higher Soundquality! That was the Reason, why 45RPM-Maxi-Singles have been invented. And there are also LPs in 45. And 78 is even better. You only need an old Turntable, which can play it.

Mine is stamped #5715... I wonder if this is similar to the situation that happened with U2's Wide Awake In Europe 12" that was released on Black Friday, I heard they noticed a problem with some pressing so instead of re-numbering the replacements that made (at the time of the original pressing) they just stamped some higher numbered ones (seemed fishy to me when I heard that).

Mr_KiLLaURa
Weird that my copy is stamped with #5937 since it's supposed to be limited to 5000, right?
