Released in 2009 after almost two years in the making, it is the first album to have Jamie Pineda as front woman after Jade Villalon departed for her solo career. It is also the first album to have Derek Bramble as the producer after longtime producer of the project Geo left. Remix Duran Duran Duran. Now I discover that the song Ruin in to everything that closes the album has a sample, or at leass a sequence so similar principally on the beginning, to the Yello classic song: The Race. I think is in other tones or something, but even in the background we can listen the dirty sound synth like in the original and even more, they sound like a crazy cartoon score too. Three years after and I'm writting again about this album... Now I discover that the song Ruin in to everything that closes the album has a sample, or at leass a sequence so similar (principally on the beginning), to the Yello classic song: "The Race". I think is in other tones or something, but even in the background we can listen the dirty sound synth like in the original and even more, they sound like a crazy cartoon score too. It's not hard to believe that sometimes one song of certain artist inspired a full album of other in other time. So if you let the imagination fly, it's not crazy to think that "The Race" with it's fun, oddity, bizarre spirit and motor sounds inspired End to create all the "Sick generation" album with his strange sounds combinations. I want to believe that even the cover album is a total homage, not only to "The Race" song, but to the total magic sickness of Yello.

This is a remix album. I would recommend to listen to the Album 'Sounds of Disaster'. I don't even begin to understand how you think this remix album or even the original songs could be inspired by something as bland as Yello.

Yello is fantastic, yes. As it the song 'The Race'. It was not actually an inspiration for this song/cd, nor the album that proceeded it (The Sounds of Disaster, which contains the original version of the song you're talking about). The main inspiration -- for the music and for the art -- was a lot of 60s and 70s exploitation films and their constant refrain of youth culture as evil. Funny how people always fear their young / the future.Anyway, off to listen to some Yello now.Best,Endwww.worldwentdown.com

Faster, better, and stronger ! That's one of the greatest ways that idm can follow in the future. A way where everything is sampled and mixed, from rock, country and lounge, to glitch and noise: a strange, fantastic and colorfull mix with madness speed, like if you were driving the moto at the cover! Respect to End.
